What to explore
Dongdaemun Design Plaza makes architecture part of the outing before you enter a gallery. Walk around its flowing exterior and notice how the building meets the surrounding public space. Check the exhibition program if you want an indoor visit; seeing the grounds and attending a ticketed event are separate choices.
Arrive by rail
The example journey starts at City Hall and ends at Dongdaemun History & Culture Park, served by Lines 2, 4 and 5. Visit Seoul identifies exit 1 for DDP. Choose the full station name in the planner: Dongdaemun is a different station and would change the final walk.
