Heunginjimun Gate

From public pavements, study the relationship between the gate and its curved outer defensive wall, then compare it with the surrounding roads. Heunginjimun is the gate commonly called Dongdaemun; it is distinct from Sungnyemun, the southern gate in another neighbourhood.

Remain on pedestrian paths around the busy roads and use marked crossings for new viewpoints. This stop excludes an uphill city-wall hike and Naksan Park. Those need additional walking and return time. After the exterior visit, follow the return walk for this route.
