Art, temple and Daan garden day
From the first station to the final station; travel to and from your hotel is excluded.
Make the art museum the focus, change pace at the temple, then take the MRT to Daan Park; there is no need to see every gallery.
This route connects Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Taipei Confucius Temple, Daan Forest Park.
Taipei Fine Arts Museum
Choose from the modern and contemporary art galleries currently open.
Station code: R14
Choose a group of current galleries and let the works establish a theme for your visit. Then notice how the building shapes light and movement. Reading fewer objects carefully is often more satisfying than covering every floor without time to understand what you are seeing.
Follow museum announcements for exhibitions, tickets and accessible areas; no particular work is promised here. Use the longer stay range when the museum is the focus of your day. Rest before continuing to the Confucius Temple and retain the allowance for crossings and walking.
Suggested visit allowance: 100–130 minutes

Taipei Confucius Temple
Explore courtyards, roofs and architectural details in a traditional ceremonial setting.
Station code: R14
Follow the sequence of courtyards and rooflines rather than searching for one definitive photo angle. A slow walk makes the arrangement of space easier to notice. Coming from the art museum, compare how each building directs your eyes and footsteps through a very different setting.
Check the temple’s opening days and ceremonial arrangements before travelling. Follow staff directions when activities affect visitor access. The Daan itinerary continues from Yuanshan station, with the return walk budgeted separately so you do not have to rush the courtyards.
Suggested visit allowance: 45–60 minutes

Daan Forest Park
Walk northern paths and the pond area without trying to cover the entire park.
Station code: R06
Enter from the northern side and focus on pond views and shaded paths. Find a comfortable seat and notice the water and tree shapes. After galleries or a large civic plaza, the park works as a change of pace; completing a full circuit is unnecessary.
The short route uses only a northern section, while the day plan leaves more time to sit. Avoid chasing or feeding wildlife. If rain strengthens, return by a direct path toward Daan Park station and turn the remaining walking allowance into an indoor break.
Suggested visit allowance: 55–75 minutes
