Taipei Fine Arts Museum
Choose from the modern and contemporary art galleries currently open.
Station code: R14
Choose a group of current galleries and let the works establish a theme for your visit. Then notice how the building shapes light and movement. Reading fewer objects carefully is often more satisfying than covering every floor without time to understand what you are seeing.
Follow museum announcements for exhibitions, tickets and accessible areas; no particular work is promised here. Use the longer stay range when the museum is the focus of your day. Rest before continuing to the next stop and retain the allowance for crossings and walking.
Suggested visit allowance: 90–120 minutes

Taipei Expo Park
Station code: R14
Use Expo Park as open space between the art museum and the historic house, following shade, lawns and pavilion exteriors. Its areas are spread across nearby streets rather than enclosed in one garden. The walk shows how a former major-event landscape becomes part of everyday urban recreation and a useful place to rest.
Markets and pavilion programmes vary, while the public paths provide the basis of this visit. Follow local diversions around closed sections. Continuing to Lin An Tai involves a longer walk and street crossings, so check closing time and take a water break; the house is not immediately outside Yuanshan station.
Suggested visit allowance: 30–45 minutes

Lin An Tai Historical House
Station code: R14
Use the courtyards to study how roof ridges, doors and water features frame views, then change position to compare the layers of the house. Paired with the art museum, the visit becomes a study of two different ways of directing attention through architecture. You do not need to identify every component to appreciate the arrangement.
Allow a substantial walk from Yuanshan, approximately twenty to thirty minutes through the Expo Park area with crossings, or plan a local bus separately. Check closing days and entry time before setting out. This is a daytime visit, so the itinerary reaches the house before dinner rather than saving it for the end of an evening outing.
